Peoria Ballet's Professional Summer Intensive Peoria Ballet Academy's Professional Summer Intensive program immerses dancers in five intense weeks of classes that focus on improving student's skills in a variety of areas. Dancers work with some of the nation's leading professional ballet dancers and teachers as well as the faculty of the Peoria Ballet Academy, gaining new skills and improving techniques in many dance styles. Classes last five to six hours per day, five days a week, with the summer intensive concluding with a performance on July 19. The Professional Summer Intensive is open to dancers who are in Ballet Level 2A and up. If you are not a current Peoria Ballet student, we welcome anyone who is at least 10 years old with at least 3 years of ballet training. We are happy to find host families for out-of-town students.
