The Nutcracker returns to the Peoria Civic Center on December 13 & 14!
Step into a world of wonder where over 100 local students and professional guest artists from New York City bring this timeless holiday classic to life — all set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed live by the Heartland Festival Orchestra.

Peoria Ballet Company is a non-profit organization celebrating sixty years of providing the finest in dance performance and dance education to Central Illinois. Well known for its annual production of The Nutcracker, the performance features live orchestral music, professional guest artists dancing the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier, and more than 100 of the Academy’s own dancers. Each season also features a full-length theater production in the spring. The Peoria Ballet also collaborates with other arts and non-profit organizations in an effort to ensure the art of dance continues to be strong and vibrant in the community.
